Wow, you are kidding me, I decided to play Halo 2 again today, and than i was not able to play hardcore due to not having the available maps, than i check here, see this. and that XBL is removing support for original xbox games? looks like im going back to XBC and canceling an XBL account i had open since the release of halo 2.
EDIT: just adding to the post, im able to play Halo 2 by using my old HDD for the 360 got 2 360's because my first 360 is unusable RROD. (my original xbox (with replaced HDD) and original Nintendo still work) ive had to replace my 360. i regret paying for a second 360 (voided warranty when i replaced fans (which increased its lifetime by a couple years) and I am very sad to see what has happened to Microsoft support of original xbox games (especially after them SELLING HALO2 ON THE XBL MARKETPLACE) This is not the kind of service i will support, and although there are many things i have enjoyed playing on XBL, and single player games i have bought (geometry wars being by far the best.) I will not spend another cent on anything related to a Microsoft gaming console.
EDIT#2: disregard what i said about it working on my old HDD, it does not work on it. (i lied and assumed it would work earlier.) I am going to leave my account closed, I love bungie and personally love the entire halo franchise, but i cannot handle what how Microsoft treats Bungie and any other company that devoloped games for the orignal xbox, I will not support the inferior 360 getting support over the superior original xbox.
