... I can't stop laughing

HAHAHAHA Discuss moments where you look back and shake your head at hype trains you were involved with. The whole "60 enemies on screen" from Halo Reach comes to mind as well.
Posted by: DeadliestCarpet
Posted by: Haloroach
Posted by: ihazurkidney I was more hyped than anybody in the world for Assassin's Creed 3. Twas' a dark day, October 30th.
The ending to AC3 was one of the most amazing I have ever seen in my life. Such a comprehensive defiling of a plot and character. Mac Walters would have been proud.
I literally threw my controller out of my window. The window was not open.
Also, just on a side note, who the hell designed the Charles Lee chase? It's the least intuitive chase scene I've ever seen in a video game.

 • IGN:
So it appears that whenever the final Reaper confrontation goes down, the Rachni will be on Shepard's side. Not a bad ally to have.
Mac Walters:
"[The presence of the Rachni] has huge consequences in Mass Effect 3. Even just in the final battle with the Reapers."
ME3: Brief cameo in Grunt's mission, promise to help fight against the Reapers. Never mentioned ever again beyond 1 slide if Wreav is the krogan leader... -_-

Hell, I'd say the Quarian/Geth war was the one thing in ME3 that lived to my expectations. It's just that the ending made them all pointless.
Saving Council? lolno Saving Collector Base? lolno Saving Rachni? lolno Anderson as Councillor? lolno
Which reminds me. A campaign DLC centered on the Rachni would be lovely.
lol@ME3DLCs Squadmates so important you have to pay extra for them!
Posted by: Sliding Ghost
Posted by: Haloroach The whole "60 enemies on screen" from Halo Reach comes to mind as well.
It could probably have been done without scripting (in my various AI collecting tests, I have noticed AI with functioning feet tend to lag the game more than ones that have no pathfinding) but that wouldn't be very interesting since they'd be standing in place just asking to be shot. Though funny thing is that Halo 3 is fully capable of having 50+ AI with pathfinding while Reach instant lags when it has more than 10... it's like the engine's been downgraded!
Let me guess. BadCyborg's AA Gun Megabattle?
