Pokemon X and Y announced!
Pokemon X and Pokemon Y announced for 3DS
Nintendo has announced Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for 3DS, the first handheld mainline Pokemon set in a breathtaking 3D world, for a worldwide release in October 2013.
The game features new starters Chespin (grass), Fennekin (fire), and Froakie (water)

eh, I'll stay up and watch this announcement I suppose. I'm hoping it's not a Gen 3 remake, but it more than likely will be. I'm hoping this Pokemon Rainbow thing you were talking about OP is actually happening. Revisiting all 4 previous areas would be awesome. This is all assuming that it is actually going to be a Red/Blue type of game. It could be another stadium type one, who knows?
