What do you think about this?
Does anyone remember, if the population was more kind with Reach?

If Halo is as mainstream as you say, why is it suffering from such a huge population drop after Blops II was released? It's mainstream to an extent, but only die hard Halo fans are gonna stay on the bandwagon until the new Halo comes out. You wanna what kind of people those die hard fans are? The answer should be obvious....
Posted by: a squiggly apple No, Halo is mainstream for a video game, most of those people play casually.

Posted by: Chelloz THE one I'm not surprised one bit. I think Halo is done honestly. People have gotten tired with the formula and are moving on.
I 100% agree with you.

Name me another original Xbox title during that time that utilized LIVE and was good. Protip: You can't. Everyone played Halo 2 on LIVE cause it was the only worthwhile video game at the time for the Xbox.
Posted by: Noshotskill If you had Xbox Live during 2004-2007, chances are you were playing Halo 2.

Posted by: Gaara444 You can't be serious. Have you ever played early Halo matchmaking? It didn't become mainstream to play Halo until 3. The majority of the player base are text book definitions of nerds.
Posted by: a squiggly apple Most people who play Halo are not nerds.

This doesn't make any sense, everyone and their mom could tell you Halo 2 dominated Xbox Live during its time. If you had Xbox Live during 2004-2007, chances are you were playing Halo 2.
Posted by: Gaara444 Because they're the ones that still play Halo after big releases like Blops II. Face it, all the Non Nerds will play Halo for a bit then move on to other games like CoD and Battlefield. The majority of the player base that remains are Sci-Fi Nerds.
Posted by: a squiggly apple So why are you bringing that up now when this is not early Halo matchmaking?

Nope, you are wrong.
-
I honestly couldn't care less. I'm having a blast with the game! And that's all that matters.
-
The first week a video game is out is always the most popular. Even CoD has a large drop off after release week.
-
This happens with every game. This is nowhere close to being a surprise.
Posted by: lime013 Meh, it's not that great anyways. A lot of other games that came out this year have way more replay value.
this x10000 Halo 4 has no replay value.
Posted by: Ferrari DuDe856 Halo 4 was dead before it was alive, as far as I'm concerned.

Posted by: boomdeyadah lol Reach had more players for the first few days than Halo 4, and Halo 4 sold about the same amount of copies. lol.
Indeed the only thing Halo 4 did good at is that it was the most played Halo game during launch day. After that it clearly went downhill fast. Allso a good video from Halo Council summerizing the major flawess in the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQHdYqp_E4A&feature=g-user-u
Posted by: a squiggly apple
Posted by: Gaara444 It's a rarity to find a Halo nerd that watches football all day.
Posted by: AquaNecromancer It's Sunday...
Posted by: Potato Joe Good. People are realizing how terrible of a game it is. I hope it continues to decrease so 343 gets the message.
Halo 4 looks like it is doing ok to me, I think people need to accept that sci-fi shooters are no longer the most popular thing on the market, I fail to see how Halo should be competing with COD at all because they are two different genres.
Tell that to the community that compares it to Call of Duty, in that case Halo is losing.
There is no point in comparing it to Call of Duty.

Holy cow. Those stats are even worse than when I last saw them!

Love people who post replies off the title.
I did click the link; I was only justifying today. Either way, people said the same thing about Reach shortly after it released. Not really suprising. Halo has competition now. Nothing new
