Why didn't they use the MP chief armor?

I mean they could have at the very beginning at the least and then changed it when he found infinity. The multiplayer Mark VI armor is far more similar to the Halo 3 model than what was forced upon us in the campaign.

It would be anticlimactic for the Didact's flagship to be vaporized in one shot by a volley of SMAC rounds, but god dammit. The people that make Halo games need to realize that SMACs are entire orders of magnitudes more powerful than Nuclear weaponry.
And to think hundreds pounded the -blam!- out of his ship in just a few minutes too. Damn.

 •
Posted by: McNut117 I honestly don't see how it's an issue. The old armor was from 2004, and is honestly outdated. The armor now looks better than it ever has.
Dat ass on the female models are terrible though.. In fact the whole female model is bad, it's like an anorexic male model.
Because as far as 343i is concerned -blam!- you and what you liked about sense. It was in the flashbacks at the beginning as well, which I found equally out of place. Then we have the redesigned Forward Unto Dawn that looked nothing at all like the one from Halo 3. To add to that list of nonsensical things, when the Didact attacks Earth where was the entire UNSC fleet and their orbital MAC defense grid?
Game has some flaws.

Where is sense anymore...
As we learned in Reach, MAC Stations just run away when they see enemy forces. Especially Super MACs. no way a network of weapons firing 3000 ton slugs traveling at 100,000 miles an hour would do anything to an invading force.

What I didnt like were the thruster packs on his back were he carries his secondary weapon. Those looked too bulky compared to the way they were in halo 3 and they looked too much like a jetpack.

 • with all the things that suck about halo 4 you decide to complain about how the details on an armor are constructed? -_-

So they would not be mentioned in the game. I agree they should be but it isn't overly necessary. Not a complete oversight like your trying to argue. [Edited on 11.13.2012 7:53 PM PST]

 •
Posted by: Crazy LlamaX
Posted by: flamedude I don't get why they redesigned his armor TWICE. Halo 4 has two sets of Mk VI, and the worst thing about it is that the Chief apparently retires his Mk VI at the end of the game. So we don't get the classic armor at all in H4 and we never will again. Bravo 343i.
They would have to make a completely different model for it, doesn't seem worth it for one set of armor.
They could of at least kept the shoulder pads and the chest/back armour similar to the Halo 3 design.
You do realise that you get Mk VI for completing H4 on Legendary right? My point is that the Mk VI you get is another redesign of the Chiefs classic armor from H3. So you have the nanobot Mk VI that the Chief wears in Campaign and you get redesigned Mk VI that your S-IV wears in Multiplayer. They redesigned the Mk VI twice. They couldn't even give us something untouched except for the helmet and I can imagine 343i arguing over that.
