Can we expect:

Can we expect an Android port of Crimson for Android platforms? I'd like to be able to get my fix, but alas I am bound to the Galaxy S II. Are there also any other Android owners hoping for an official port? [Edited on 05.01.2012 6:34 PM PDT]

 •
Posted by: path1k face it, the series received it's peak point of criticism with Halo Reach ... however 343i still have 1 chance of making things right with Halo 4. if they blow it again, Halo Reach will be the highest grossing game in the series, after that the stats will fall lower and lower
Reach ony got the initial sales because of some great marketing (microsoft) not the game itself (bungie). People brought in with special ODST beta access (like who else charges "beta" testers - lol). They then tied in that hook by pushing special pre-release purchase perks. But ... two weeks after people got the game the online player count fell in record style. Great marketing, disappointing game.
Posted by: path1k doesn't help that their first impression of taking over the Halo franchise turned out to be a colossal failure (instead of giving fans the original Halo multiplayer, we get a damn map pack for Halo Reach)
Remember ODST ?!? ... an expansion pack sold as a new game. Nothing new to see here. But back to 'wonder if Micro$oft will ever look back'. Still cant see why they would want to. Even if H4 is a massive flop, would anyone notice/remember, they will have plenty of titles in their stable - many would say it is a good thing, time for a new king (well other than cod). But bungie?? - when did they split (2007 from memory) ... what have they achieved since? (mind you, I would also be tempted to sit back and spend some of that massive $$ and have a great break)

 •
Posted by: Separikakku Halo wont last ?!?
face it, the series received it's peak point of criticism with Halo Reach (take one look at the forum to see what i mean) 343i's attempt at fixing the problem with a TU lead to further complaints (pistol is now OP) doesn't help that their first impression of taking over the Halo franchise turned out to be a colossal failure (instead of giving fans the original Halo multiplayer, we get a damn map pack for Halo Reach) the amount of copies refunded or traded in to retailers was so high that Retail stores such as EB Games or Gametraders refused to take back any more copies! don't have a link of it but thats what the guy on GameInformer said however 343i still have 1 chance of making things right with Halo 4. if they blow it again, Halo Reach will be the highest grossing game in the series, after that the stats will fall lower and lower

 •
Posted by: path1k
Posted by: Separikakku Plus hey, Halo 4 ... guessing Microsoft would be thinking "bungie who?!?" at the moment (what has happened to bungies new console title?).
sad when you think about it, i mean there never seemed to be a friendship when the 2 eventually parted ways. guess Micro$oft only cares about one thing Halo won't last though
The media played it as bungie wanting "freedom" - even though MS owed bungie and the product. It appeared that bungie was happy to take the cash but then wanted to keep the cow. Plus Microsoft did pick up many of the staff who left bungie at the end of H3 - obviously no hard feelings on their end. Halo wont last ?!? Guessing Activision would put more money on that title lasting than it would bungie at the moment. Latest warning was an extension until December. Not sure what activision can do if they missing another deadline :(

 • Given the already minimalistic following of Crimson: Steam Pirates, I doubt that we will see an Android port of the game. The time and effort isn't worth the payoff.

 •
Posted by: path1k wonder if Micro$oft will ever look back.
Why would Microsoft look back ... no regrets, no need/desire. Microsoft have Halo, all bungie currently have is aerospace. If you had the chance of pushing your new game title through the app store direct or aerospace ... why would you pause? Aerospace cant get a second title in a year?? Anyone care to guess how many indie title Microsoft have been able to attract in the same period? Plus hey, Halo 4 ... guessing Microsoft would be thinking "bungie who?!?" at the moment (what has happened to bungies new console title?).

 •
Posted by: Sector Z 157 Can we expect an Android port of Crimson for Android platforms?
doubt it, this game hasn't even scratched the benchmark to receive attention from any developers, publishers, companies etc. despite being brought to us by BUNGiE Aerospace, a subsidiary of BUNGiE who brought us Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2. wonder if Micro$oft will ever look back.
