Iran to Deploy Navy off U.S. Coast? Lolwut?

Well, being that I live in America, this story intrigued me. No doubt I felt a little unsettled at first, but after doing some background research, I started laughing.
Iranian Navy:
3 WW2-era destroyers
5 Frigates
3 Corvettes
3 Diesel Powered Submarines
None of which even have the range to sail the 8000 nautical miles between New York and Iran, and also have no nuclear capabilities.
Plus they're doing this during the height of hurricane season.
On behalf of the United States I would like to thank the Islamic Republic of Iran for their generous donation to our artificial reef program.

@Loktar OGar It's funny that the aging navy of Iran thinks it has the capabilities to station itself in the Atlantic. If they actually had the capabilities, it wouldn't be funny and no one would care and this thread wouldn't exist. None of its ships, not even its subs, have the range to travel the 8000 nautical miles from Iran to US waters. Not to mention that their ships are literally 40 years old and equate to a few floating tin cans. (No, literally. The 3 WW2- era destroyers they have are nicknamed "Tin Cans" from their lack of armor.) And its THIS "navy" thats supposed to "scare" Americans? Its more funny than threatening. It's all idiocy from the Iranian Military leadership. I'm all for international waters and all, but they don't even have the capabilities to make it here. That's what we're poking fun at. It's like a little kid with a stick staring down a police officer. The kid has every right to do it, but it's still absolutely hilarious. Also, I'm sure there's a few Europeans on this thread who are now very offended that you called them "stupid" Americans.
