  • Wow. You are honestly one of my many heros. Many quotes and so inspiration. (Not that I didn't already have enough. xD) But you brought up something that stumped me. When you reminded us to do all you can in one subject. That got me thinking. I live (typo? Maybe not) lighting and texturing. In fact, I've learned more about that in Autodesk Maya than my teacher knew. :) So that's what I want to be my future. I told him that. And for our Class presentation (for our schools art show) I was quoted. "Texturing is fun. In some cases, it's putting the grass on the ground and the clouds in the sky". Thought of that off the top of my head. Got applauded for it too. :D But anyway! Back to what I was trying to say. If I want to do lighting and texturing, should I just learn all I can about UV Mapping, Photoshop, how light works, all the attributes, etc? Or should I center my knowledge around environment, characters or other things? Please answer this. :)
