Good god I love documentaries. Thanks Bungie, you're really too good to your fans. I'm suprised no one has mentioned yet that Curtis Creamer has a sweet Bungie shirt/jacket on. If that comes to the store I'm all about it. My take on the little eggs in the video: [*]I'm pretty sure I see mandibles on those things in fancy armor. Elite mandibles. [*]One thing about the scenes of the pelican pilot, is that those pictures on the right look like old school pilot helmets. Are those pictures of actual people in helmets for reference? Because the pictures not clear enough I'm not sure if those are reference photos to help model the pelican pilots or computer generated images, but I'm positive that thing on the forehead area of the helmet is to mount a Night Vision Device. I'm not saying that we'll see NVG's return to the Haloverse but rather pointing it out to the uninitiated. :) P.S. *whisper* If you happen to be in need of a Navy helicopter pilot to do any free dialogue or consulting...[url=http://img82.imageshack.us/img82/3937/callme1wz.jpg]Call Me[/url]. *whisper*

The trailer for halo 3 is awesome. thanx to the great guys who made it... you guys ROCK!!! Everything about the trailer rocks - especially the music. i want to learn how to play it.... :( I hope they release another trailer soon....

The new creature thing has from what I can tell on HD, four jaw/mouthpieces. Elite is my guess.

The creature has the face and long head of an elite. It also does not have hairy arms like a brute. Brutes have taller heads, flatter faces then what I see. But of course we are trying to judge off of bad angles on a small screen, so.... The arms aren't overly sized so much that they can't be elites'. And the models don't look like they're fully finished yet, as you can still see some of the polygons/sharp angles in the bodies. Just wait a bit...

I liked the behind the scenes documentary. I looked at the screen shot of the creatures in jet packs and they must be Brutes. Simply because their arms are fricken huge and they have short necks. There were also more than one of them with different styles of armor on them. I think that the jet-pack Brutes are still being finalized. It just wouldn't make sense to have all those different packs for the Brutes. I like the new shotgun. I like the different angles for the original trailer. The orchestra rocks my face off. I can't wait for that soundtrack. However, besides that, the doc really didn't reveal too much. Smart thinking on Bungie's part. Give the masses a little nibble at a time to keep them satisfied. I hope they make more of these as Halo 3 progresses. Not too many though. Their attention should still be focused on making the game (wow, did I just contradict myself or what?). Anyway, keep up the good work Bungie.

If you slow down the trailer at 1:19, while Cortana is flashing in and out, at about 1:19.5 there is an image that looks completely out of place. Someone else check this out and see what I see? (p.s. I don't actually know what I see, it's just not Cortana. And it's not out of focus enough to just be 'nothing') Also, at about 1:44 when the 'info' is on the screen of the trailer, the word 'flood' is marking one of the objects. Maybe 'sign flood'? Thank goodness they made a small version. It's still 25 MB I'm not going to even check to see how big the other versions are. With my dial-up rate this should take +8 hours to download. Bungie and my version of a large file to download is considerably different, thanks though I cannot wait to see this. I'm staying up all night to download the file, it should be done by 7:50 am.

Very cool documentary, thanks Frankie! Any chance we can get another look/an official word on what the heck that strange creature is that we saw on the developer screen? No doubt the Halo 3 forum will be churning out uber volumes of new threads about that one.. Cheers Bungie!
