Reach's population over time: the stats (charts included)

Two weeks ago I thought it would be interesting to record the 24-hour population of Halo Reach once a day, so that I could eventually chart it to see trends over time and to see how other events like game releases, game updates, weekends and holidays affect population numbers. Now that some time has passed, I've decided to post the population data for everyone to see. This data is recorded automatically every night at midnight PST. As of the time of this writing, there's population data for 18 days. Here it is. In Reach the level requirements will take you alot of time, which I don't mind, and I find games alot quicker even with a Strict NAT.

Didnt see an extra zero by mistake?? Show us how every Friday (so you compare like-for-like) is moving up in numbers. Be interested to see this ... we may have a solution for the GFC - LOL.

[/quote]The only playlist someone that doesn't have the map pack won't be able to play is the DLC playlist. All of the regular playlists will stay the same as they are now.

The only way to know that information with a very high level of certainty would be to get the data from Microsoft.

I still lvoe Halo, I'm just having a way better time with Blops at the moment. *Sits in flameproof fort*), I think this thread's great. Good to see all you guys who still play Reach being loyal. I'm surprised to see that much of a dip in population on Black Ops' release date. I expected more, especially considering that 56% of Black Ops' sales were on 360.

  • I saw more than 100K online today for the first time in a while, and that was at about 9pm GMT. Hardly peak time in the states. I wonder how things will progress after the DLC and of course the holiday season.
