To anyone who has a title equipped
When you finally got that last triumph you needed, how did you feel and why?
Did you just move on to another activity? Or did you turn off the game to take a break now that you don’t need to worry about the seasons being sunset?

Rivensbane. From not believing I would ever get that title or do a flawless raid, me and my team did it. I'm glad to have a static. We have a lot of fun together and that made me realize that destiny endgame is pretty fun. We all worked to get the best guns and spent hours together. Wouldn't have asked for a better static. I'm proud of us.

I still have the Forerunner title equipped because it's the only one that I actually wanted ... all of the others were just something to do when the game was dead.

3 RepliesAs a lore boy I always wanted the Dredgen title way before season of the drifter, it’s the only one I really wanted (though I realise it’s easier to get than others). I’ve yet to see a title worth swapping it with. Especially since the introduction of darkness powers the entire lore of grey guardians is too good to not want to write yourself into.

The amount of joy I had when I got the last kill to win a trials match for the flawless seal was unmatched. Also finally getting descendant and blacksmith were great feelings since those took months of work

For raids: a tinge of excitement. Dungeons: like Warlord’s I felt nothing, it was infuriating Seasonal and lower: hey easy progress Campaign related ones are a nice middle ground tho

When I achieved the Glorious title, I became a new man. People looked at me differently. Strangers smiled at me in the street. My coworkers stood when I entered the room. My friends and family couldn’t stop saying how proud of me they were. Food tasted better. Colours appeared more vibrant. I slept peacefully each night and woke feeling refreshed and ready to face any challenge that presented itself to me. And then… [spoiler]…somebody found my Trials report. 😔[/spoiler]

I just really loved Season of the Haunted. I wish they'd bring Nightmare Containment back.

It felt like a nice little accomplishment. Getting unbroken and not being the best of players. It wasn’t easy especially reaching 5500 rank playing solo 🥲

After I got my title; self-esteem was boosted, got a girlfriend, and my parents were finally proud of me.

Edited by viiTactiiCZz: 5/11/2024 7:39:37 PMOnly one I really cared about was Rivensbane back when Forsaken launched, but the 'yay I have it' was overshadowed by the fact that I had everything done but still had to wait 5+ months to get 1K voices.. so when it finally dropped it was 'oh thats the title done now then'

Almost all titles are just an "I was there" checklist, so the title when unlocked has no value in my eyes. I still unlock them, I just feel nothing for them. The few that I do care about, felt pretty good when I unlocked them, and for the most part I would abandon whatever activity they were attached to unless I was helping others for it. Now with title guilding though, titles feel less valuable than ever. If you're not a super engaged player who plays every activity every season, what's even the point? Oh, Shadow that one was really rare and nice, but it's not gold and doesn't have a high number next to it, so who cares?

Only title I cared about was the Wayfarer one but I can't get it on this account. I'll gladly show my Iron Lord one when Bungie fixes it, otherwise I couldn't care less about titles.

1 ReplyIt depends on the title. Basic seasonal titles garner nothing extra from me because they are basically free. Same with event titles...though I 100% stop doing the activities after I gild those seals. Ones like Ghoul? Yea...I needed a break from GotD after I got that unlocked.

I barely care about titles now. It’s just arbitrary words below your character. Also… some titles like unbroken, glorious, and flawless instigate heavy amounts of cyber bullying, if you choose to use them. The destiny community is so split right now, between pvp and pve players. It’s sad honestly… Exact reason why I dont do trials and barely try comp.

"Reaper" my first title I grinded, just for the name. Only other title is the one from Iron banner. [spoiler]not even bothered going higher.[/spoiler] D2 player since beta...but never really cared for titles.

Unbroken, hard to get, playing always solo and not being the best of players, I had a lot of frustration. I only have it because I went after not forgotten the OG way and then I decided to go and get the title. It was a relief, not even happy, just a relief when I eventually got it

Honestly ever since getting blacksmith and shadow I stopped caring about getting any other titles. None of them interest me with their challenge, lore, or name. Getting Shadow was extremely memorable. Those flawless menagerie runs were so much harder than flawless raid. That ogre boss in particular was insane. Stayed up till 3 AM until my LFG group got it done.
