Bungie Name change

Question. I'm looking to change my bungie name using Japanese characters but it after typing in the whole name (less than 26 character count) it does not save any settiings. Is there something I'm missing?

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it only allows English characters that can be typed with a standard keyboard.
