Possible spoilers i know who winnower is
Ive alway thought that Eva Levante was the gardener and for a bit i was thinking maybe the drifter as the winnower but it never fit right until i realized its Osiris… i think him and eva are brother and sister and both members of the eldritch race. The last collapse created the awoken which are the same dynamic siblings. Both born of light and dark. If you look into Osiris background it says he was a creation of the golden age. And was resurrected by a faulty ghost. So Im wondering. Was humanity responsible for creating both the gardener and winnower? Are we the race that created the witness also?….. and Clovis knows more than we think about all of this.

This weird observation of creation through simulation, the explanation of mans design... Man securing it past and future... Through an impossibility, a formless shapeless nothing that is something.

3 RepliesThis is a very wild theory, but completely based in nothing. We know the Witness came from a species some call the Precursors, which were humanoids on the Traveler’s first planet. So humanity did not create them. We know the Traveler is the Gardener, because the Precursors called it that. They were also the ones who sook a Winnower for their garden to control the chaos of the light. Hence why the found the Veil and tried to link it to the Traveler. I’m all for Eva Levante crazy theories though.

Colonel is actually in control of the Traveler, which is why Cayde is inside the traveler because he owns the Colonel and this is master over the traveler.

3 RepliesMaybe Eva is an android? Shes standing in the hall of heroes storage area because she is also being stored. She doesn't say anything or acknowledge us when we walk by. She is in stand by mode! And her sleeve is glowing! It would be kinda funny though if she turned out to be the next big bad.

And in the summer she gives us silver leaves… how would she have these? Also my theory includes her has both gardener and winnower now. I think she killed the winnower. Think would it. I think she feeds on souls and uses Martha Stewart as a cover. Here eat one of my nice cookies made out of taken butter and cabal nuts hahah but seriously shes the gardener. I also think shes skirra talked about my mithrax. Meanwhile the only person who can use darkness power without a ghost or pyramid shard is Osiris. I think the nez tea was him getting a small prt of his essence back.

Not gonna lie, if this is the direction the story takes, if we meet the Gardener inside the Traveler and it's just Eva... I don’t think I'll be able to take the writing seriously ever again. "Hello, Guardian, here to purchase some new shaders?" Then the Drifter walks up, "Don't listen to her brother." Drifter flicks a green token up into the air and catches it, "I gotta admit, I never took you for a fool, but this?" Drifter raises his arms, gesturing towards the cataclysmic disarray resonating all around, "I guess I was wrong."

What you cited was an accusation made by the Concordant: “even when the Concordat claimed to have records proving you were a Golden Age experiment mis-incarnated as a human by an inept Ghost. ” Records that were not produced to prove the claim, just trying to make him look back during a period of internal strife where they were attempting to take control of the City. Ghost lore and BL lore tells us a decent bit about the Gardener. Doubtful it’s going to be Eva. The entity was near dead and comatose while we were talking to Eva in the Tower.

It might just jar him enough to bring back a fleeting burnt memory of something useful before he forgets everything again.
