How many times have you done this, Bungie? And every time you get ratio'ed on your own forums because no one likes it.
You're literally incentivizing players not to play Onslaught because they'll wait until the reward they actually want (Likely a Luna's Howl or a Recluse) drops.
Who thought trying this again would work 'this time'? Who? Someone needs to get the newspaper across the nose again.
"But people will just farm all the weapons day one!" I hear you say, Mr. Imaginary-Voice-That-Sounds-Disturbingly-Like-Morgan-Freeman.
Of course there'll always be a small group who will no-life, complain and move on, but they're not the vast majority. Most of us will take our time, because our schedules will demand it.

Agree that time gating is dumb. Disagree that people wont play because of it. I dont like the time gates because to me, it's the same with armor. It trivializes everything. Wait until 2 weeks before the next expansion for your favorite gun or armor peice, only to chase the new cool thing. Boring and repetitive.
every time you get ratio'ed on your own forums
This means absolutely nothing. 💀

not surprisingly, they are always told that they are wrong and they confirm this with action again and again, like stupid stubborn little children.
-
The only reason anything is time-gated is because people would grind out whole content blocks in a day or two then complain about lack of content.

Your time can be taken now. Nothing changes in that regard. All this doom and gloom about when a weapon is released is a childish tantrum.
