Not everyone enjoys running the same raids over and over for another weapon . Its a way for bungie to spread the loot around for all the players to use. Eventually all the weapons will be obtainable other ways with or without running raids. As the player base slows down its that smart -play on bungies part to get the weapons in the hands of all players and bring back some player base.

Actually, when this game launched, people that didn't do raids or trials could still get raid and trials weapons from being in a clan. Stramers complained so Bungie took it out of the game.......so....there's that.

By Bungie putting them in a Pool not being the raids, thus Devalued the Weapons. There were plenty of other Classic Weapons Bungie could have pulled from that were not from Raids.
