[i]Glaives recharge energy twice as fast, drain energy more slowly, and can deflect projectiles while guarding.
Glaive melee kills Cure you and overflow your magazine, and projectile final blows create an elemental explosion matching the weapon's damage type. These effects are improved when the Glaive element matches your subclass damage type.
Additionally, damaging targets with Glaive attacks provides stacking bonus damage for a short duration. When surrounded by enemies,[/i] immediately gain the maximum damage bonus and faster weapon handling.

At first, this would sound OP, but with the extreme risk that comes with using anything close range in any form of higher content, the return, the payoff needs to be HUGE, a little too strong? maybe, but high risk NEEDS high reward! anything less makes it not viable, that is why both the exotics you mentioned might do well from this idea, as it stands right now, they are more gimmicky then good.

Stronghold strand titan with lament is in a great place. Face tanking the light blade on GM and swording him down is more than enough proof. Getting restoration and cure is just a matter of equipping the right mods and fragments.
