What would happen if fallen used light infused ether?
We already know that dark-infused ether can resurrect dead fallen, albeit in a zombie-like way. But what would happen if a dead fallen was given light-infused ether? Would they be able to resurrect fully healed? Or would they be able to gain guardian abilities? I hope this idea is explored in the lore or shown in the game. Imagine if Skolas was resurrected with light ether.

Isn't regular ether already light infused, isn't that the purpose of the servitors.

Assumedly at some point, they got their nutrition via other means as, I’m pretty sure the invention of Ether and the servitors came about during their golden age. Their dependence on Ether and its limited supply is what has turned them into scavengers. Edit: I’m aware that Eliksni also eat but whatever it is they get from Ether, they surely once survived without - or at least got it a different way. Unless there entire physiology changed during Riis’ golden age.

That’s likely why it won’t be explored. Light is limited for a good reason, it’s too powerful to hand out like candy. Darkness is more freely available because it wants chaos and disorder.

5 RepliesI think that the ether fallen use is already to some degree light infused. The servitors that make it derive it from the prime servitors, which it is implied the traveler had some hand in the construction of. That's the reason why destroying a prime servitor is such a big deal, they can't make more of them. It starves an entire house of fallen, and it cannot be replaced.

The question is if we could, light in lore is impossible to replicate, thanks asher, and im not sure we could actually infuse them with our light, I feel like using a ghost would be cheating for this question in particular. And darkness has proven more controlable That's likely bc the light is given and darkness is taken.

Judging by this seasons pass sparrow , Eramis is going back to rebuild Riis , and it's possible the rest of the Eliksni may join her(I would, it's there Earth) , Bungie is tying up loose ends, no Surprise the Episodes are about The Vex,Fikrul and whatever the 3rd one is about The Eliksni may never be in the story again, beyond vague lore card references -

That is... Actually a really cool idea. I remember something about a Fallen captain crushing a ghost, inhaling the vapors, and getting much stronger as a result, so could be interesting.
