Just a thought it would have been much easier than killing all ahemkara and saved a lot of time.

The Ahamkara don’t decide to inflict chaos, it’s just in their nature. Just look at the Warlord’s Ruin dungeon. Despite becoming friends with Naeem, Hefnd still had to inflict the cost of the wishes on the former Warlord. It’s just the nature of how their abilities work and how they feed.

A deliberate devil’s bargain, where their eradication is a rejection of temptation to easy power for eternity. Likely to be abused to the suffering of who knows how many mortal generations. By killing them we lost a potential tool but also removed a tremendous threat. The Sky vs The Deep

Wishes are nothing more than bait with a hook in it; there's always a steep price to be paid.
