Sniper or HC Dexterity?

Here’s an interesting question: should I run sniper rifle or hand cannon dexterity for my PvP sniper build? (Beloved and FB Timelost) my goal is to improve HC handling for the sake of finishing off a body shot with the sniper. Sniper handling is not very important for my specific build. The reason for my indecision is because dexterity improves the draw AND stow of the corresponding weapon(s). I’ve seen videos and Reddit posts claiming that you should actually run the opposite dex for the weapon you’re actually wanting to improve. In my case, running a solar dex so that the faster stow of the sniper allows the HC to be readied faster. People claim this provides a better benefit than matching the dex to the weapon you want to improve. But I always thought you should just match the dex. Any thoughts on this?

Always run the dex mod for the weapon that has the lower handling stat as all results will be more impactful when weapon swapping. Whether this affects the low handling of the weapon you’re swapping to or the low handling of the weapon you’re stowing, it will be more noticeable than if you’re applying the dex mod to the higher handling weapon.

What class? You jumpy jumpy? QaS since it's 2 legendaries... provides a flat 10% scalar to ready/stow speed... or some people run QaS on their HC, hipfire grip on their Sniper. If you're a Warlock... snakes. If you're a Hunter... Dragon's Shadow. As for mods, most people want a smooth transition... so if you can only have 1 mod, put it on the slowest weapon in transition... If that's your HC ready then HC dex, if that's your Snipe stow Sniper Dex... the idea being the smoothest transition in addition to a reduction in the total swap time. Then QaS on both will take 10% off that. Ophidians & DS effects stack but the effect may be nominal... so you'd need to play around with the configs. For example, if you're on Snakes maybe you drop Quick Access Sling for targeting. But you see what I'm saying... you want the smoothest transition w your swap tactic... and dex mods will offer greater benefit to the slower weapon. Tldr... use the dex mod for the slowest weapon in transition.
