Darkness subclass exotic (Drifter’s Weapon of Sorrow)

Dominated by the Dark.” —The Drifter Impact 80 Range 45 Damage Falloff ~20.68m Hip / 28.43 ADS Stability 40 Handling 60 Reload Speed 55 Reload Time 2.85s Aim Assistance 78 Inventory Size 60 Zoom 14 Airborne Effectiveness 20 Recoil 96 Bounce Intensity 5 Rounds Per Minute 140 Magazine 14 [u]Basic Intrinsic: Embrace the Dark[/u] After a Darkness Subclass ability multikill, this weapon grants a burst of healing and increases rate of fire for a short duration—or until seven shots are fired. * On Darkness Subclass ability multikill (2 enemies within 3 seconds) for 4.5 seconds: - Restores 20HP every 1.5 seconds (firing seven shots can end healing prematurely) - Reduces Firing Delay by 30% - NOTE: This perk has a 20 second cooldown after the duration ends. [u]Basic Trait: Liar’s Maverick [/u] Body shots have a chance to deal precision damage. * On Body Shot: - 20% chance to deal precision damage. [u]Basic Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling[/u] Balanced barrel. - Slightly increases range (+5) - Slightly increases stability (+5) - Slightly increases handling speed (+5) [u]Basic Magazine: Alloy Magazine [/u] Faster reloads when the magazine is empty. - Grants a 0.85x Reload Duration Multiplier when the magazine is empty. [u]Basic Grip: Smooth Grip[/u] This weapon is slightly easier to hold and aim. - Slightly increases stability (+5) - Slightly increases handling speed (+5) [u]Exotic Catalyst: The Eternal Abyss[/u] Precision damage dealt by Liar’s Maverick build The Eternal Abyss energy. At full charge, Embrace the Dark has no cooldown penalty and Liar’s Maverick gains increased chance to deal precision damage. * Activating Liar’s Maverick seven times fully charges The Eternal Abyss: - Removes 20 second cooldown from Embrace the Dark. - Increases Liar’s Maverick chance to deal precision damage to 45%. - NOTE: The Eternal Abyss stays active until Guardian dies or changes subclass/exotic armour. Design Notes: Hand cannon looks like a kit-bashed device (similar to the mote banks in gambit) with glass repositories containing flowing darkness and glints of egregore tendrils within. Story behind the weapon being that it is the amalgamation of the Drifter’s holding of Darkness energy from Gambit into the Haul. In technicality, it is closer to a Weapon of Sorrow in its design and has the possibility of being “tethered” to a being to make them immortal (like Oryx in the Touch of Malice or Xol in Whisper of the Worm), it is an insurance policy for the Drifter as a means of survival.
