I think it’s more noticeable on mouse and keyboard. Not sure which one you use. On console, the base weapon stats are more important than the perks, in my opinion. Main reason is because M&K doesn’t have recoil. Console users have a lot of recoil and unpredictability, especially when it comes to SMG’s. That’s why I wish they would target the SMG nerf towards M&K players. They can shoot SMG’s are further than intended ranges without suffering from the -blam!- recoil that console users have to contend with. The SMG nerf that’s coming will negatively impact console users the most!

    This Until forsaken SMGs weren’t even usable on console they were so bad. I remember huckleberry being all the rage - literally never used that thing it’s recoil was so insane. The only good pulse on controller is the battle rifle and that’s because not only does it have high aim assist, it has high range - both stats are tied to eachother. A mouse will always outshoot a controller with something like NTTE because they can hit targets well beyond the effective range because their ability to aim isn’t tied to the range stat - just their damage fall off Then you have hilarious guns like the mida wirh 100 aim assist but it’s range stat is so low you can’t hit anything beyond mid range so it’s useless
