So I was wondering, when it comes to weapons with fundamentals, how do the new elemental targeting mods interact with them? Do I have to use whatever element's targeting mod I plan on using for the gun's element? Say I want to run solar on Borealis for the AE, do I need to use solar targeting or do I need to use the base damage type's elemental targeting (that being void)?
