Defending the Last City from the Witness old

This topic is moved to Destiny 2

Why is it so hard for girls, like myself, to not deal with the toxicity of the community and to find other women in the community? I know we dont put ourselves out there like "Hey Im a female destiny player looking for friends!" But when we find someone and we think its another female Destiny player and it turns out to be a guy, we either recieve toxicity from them, get harassed/bullied, or we get kicked from their groups without being given a chance. (happened to me in my run of Kings Fall after Warpriest on opening weekend) Have any other women, other than me, faced this issue while playing? I would love to hear responses from both New Lights and Vets of the community

      • I personally don't think it's exclusive to destiny. Its in valorant, cod, siege. Many where generally any toxic dude on the Internet is of the opinion only dudes should play there can be toxicity. Is it right? Absolutely not I am generally of the opinion (In regards to gaming in this instance) that gender doesn't matter when you are looking for a fireteam member. You fit the bill? My group generally don't give a damn who or what gender has the headset on. So its a bit unfortunate to hear someone say they don't feel safe or great when gaming in public. Especially since it can help people socialise. I hope you find a group that vibes with you and I hope you won't get disheartened to try this game. Despite its flaws, it's more fun with friends.
