I think you are not understanding buildcrafting. The amount of slots are in proportion to how powerful the aspect is. Some people on this thread obviously get it. Others lol. ..not so much. My void warlock is one of my most powerful characters.
Bungie has crushed it with stasis, void and solar. Aspects are the starting point, mods, weapons and play style play a huge part as well. Enjoy solar titan while it lasts, at the end of the season it won't be as tanky. Look online for builds, ask others and just try it out. You'll see.

Then you're probably not using them right. My PvE Void Warlock is a monster enough with 4 fragment slots. Guys talking about 3 slots are basically concern trolling Bungie into allowing god builds.

The number of slots is just a number. Focus instead on how powerful the build is. Threads like this just illustrate the fact that players will always try to destroy the games they love, then complain about it on Internet forums. There is another thread asking to buff stasis, another asking to do away with powerful seasonal mods, it’s a joke. At some point people really need to engage with the game and put some energy into figuring it out instead of constantly complaining about non issues.

I can say the same thing about the other classes lol. For balance sake, players should be limited to only 4 slots. If an aspect is too weak then bungie can buff it, its also clear they totally can considering how bungie gave icarus dash an extra perk where getting kills in the air grants a small health boost.
