If you aren’t skilled at pvp, there’s probably no reason to even attempt trials. You’ll get slaughtered over and over again. Your rep gains will be far too slow, drops are far too infrequent, and you have to actually win games to get masterworking materials. Your probably better off just not even attempting the playlist. It’s not worth it. I’ve never played a single trials game. I know I’m better off not exposing myself to a playlist that breeds toxicity. Not worth it. Just let trials go. It’s never going to be worth the stress and anxiety.
