A friend isn’t getting error codes, but only gets placed in activities alone.

A friend of mine, since the update where PSN had major networking issues, is also having strange issues within Destiny 2.
They play on PC. They can access the game just fine, but any location or matchmaking activity they join, they always end up in the activity or session alone.
They end up being put into strikes alone, the tower alone, even patrol alone. There are no error codes.
Why is this happening?

Hi there! This is normally due to either firewall settings not allowing all the network traffic needed to allow connections to other players, or their ISP is filtering or blocking traffic. Please have them check their router firewall or software firewall to ensure that the game is whitelisted.
