Weekly limits on things like RNG raid exotics and tier 3 focusing are not good for the experience. What do they accomplish aside from just being a time gate on acquisition attempts of something? I’d love to be wrong, but this feels exclusively like artificial inflation of login numbers/play time.
As for raids, the longer the exotic doesn’t drop, the worse the pursuit for it becomes.
After like 20-30 clears, the raid has been trivialized. It no longer feels like an accomplishment. It feels like work. All my clan/friends either have it or lost interest due to it not dropping. So now instead of this being an experience with my clan/friends, this is now an experience with random people from LFG. I don’t want that. I want these experiences to be with my clan/friends.
“It just needs bad luck protection.” No. The very idea that a system needs this kind of protection(or arguably any protection) speaks volumes for what’s wrong with it to begin with.
Please do not make raid exotics strictly weekly limited RNG anymore. The negatives FAR outweigh any supposed positive of this reward mechanic. Make them a quest. Make them auto drop after a reasonable amount of clears, make them purchasable with spoils from the final chest after a reasonable amount of clears, make it a triumph that requires demonstrating basic knowledge and efficiency of the raid’s mechanics.
Something, ANYTHING, is better than a lottery where you can only buy three tickets a week.

I don’t think the raid exotic should be tied to a triumph.. most ppl like you don’t have stacked friends waiting to do the raid. Most ppl are solo, it should just be a balanced set % that goes up every completion. Or a one and done exotic quest.
