They seem perfectly fine with using the least compelling, least engaging, and least rewarding mechanic for endgame exotics. There’s nothing you can better about how you play the raid to help you. There’s no real skill or challenge. It’s just three chances a week, better luck next time. Time gated RNG is the worst, most laziest possible reward mechanic that could be used. It’s best reserved for mobile games.

I've ran with ppl who havent raided in my clan for nearly 2 weeks. I gave them the same suggestion as ppl do here. Leave that raid alone and come back to it. 4 out 6 ppl got it within that 1 run. Bu goes system seems to reward players who hardly play. Idk why....but I've been using this method for some time. If I do mostly all my pinnacles and w.e else needed for the week within first few days. I hardly come back on destiny unless friends need help. And next thing you know I start getting my God roll weapons, armor with 2 26point stats on them. But first week or 2 we started this season, literally every drop was super duper doodoo. Because I was on frequently, and towards the new season I was pretty active. So I laid off certain things and I do em slowly within the next week or towards the end of the week.
