What are the problems caused by RNG raid exotics? Looking for input from the community.

Hi fellow Guardians! I posted this on r/DestinyTheGame earlier, and thought I'd throw it out here as well. I had some free time during the weekend, and decided to do a bit of analytical writing (because that's everyone's idea of a good time). After brainstorming for a bit, I decided to start writing a little "Let's Fix It" series for Destiny, where I'd just go through and get my thoughts together to analyze issues with in game systems, and come up with better method of implementing them. I'm not sure if I'd ever make it public -it really is just a hobby type of thing for my own enjoyment- but I have talked to a couple smaller-scale D2 youtubers who may be interested in turning the series into a video! With all that said, I decided that Issue #1 is gonna be about raid exotic RNG (I was starting with RNG in general but that was too broad of a topic). Its obviously a well documented and controversial topic in the Destiny-verse, and I figured it'd be fun to dig in and see what I (and we) can come up with! My goal here is to go into great detail about the specifics of the issues with the system, and why the potential fix will solve each of these issues. There have been thousands of posts complaining about RNG, but many of them don't give a suggestion for a solution that solves what both Bungie and the players want/need. Furthermore, the one's that do provide a solution usually don't go into detail about 'why' the system works, and how it will fit the scheme of the game. My goal is to provide an in-depth analysis for all of this as a means to showcase a solution, and why it works. I've already written a 2500 word rough-draft, but that's solely based on my own thoughts. Seeing as I want this to bell flushed-out and well-rounded, I figured I'd come ask for your takes. The paper is broken into 4 sections: The System, Why Bungie Uses It, Problems With The System, and My Solution. I've already wrapped up the initial description for The System, and have done an analysis on why Bungie does things this way. On this thread, I am specifically looking for your perceived problems with it, and solutions to those problems. Thanks to anyone who helps out! As I said, I don't really think it will get posted anywhere, but if it does I'll certainly credit where its due for any input I use. Thanks, and eye's up!

Bungie's raid exotic RNG seems to heavily favor those who either don't play very much or don't raid at all, as 30 of the Vex Mythoclast I've seen drip throughout my LFG runs have always been to people "just coming back" after not playing for months or those who never raided until now. Even going off of my own friends, 4 of them rarely play Destiny anymore and they all got Vex within their first 1-3 runs and I've personally seen someone get it twice already. Meanwhile others I've played with have over 45-50+ completions, finished all the VoG Master challenges and still haven't gotten it yet, which also means you are locked out of getting the Fate Breaker title too since it requires Vex. Raid exotics either need to be Quests ala Touch of Malice, Outbreak Prime, Crux of Crota (after MoT update), Divinity or Acrius. Or if you're going to lock a Seal/Title behind them, do what they did with Timelost Found Verdict and give you the Raid exotic once you completed all the triumphs associated with it. It makes no sense to me why Bungie would tell you that seals are meant for players to show off their "skill" and "accomplishments" but then make them unobtainable because they require RNG drops to complete. You don't need RNG for Flawless, Unbroken or Conquerer so why the heck do you need it for Fate Breaker, Descendant and RivensBane?? And again, none of this would be an issue if you could just Farm for Vex as much as you wanted without being restricted to only 3 times a week. I'd love to read your research once it's finalized.
