Are you getting Crashes? I found the solution.

Hello, Recently I've been reading threads regarding the crashes that have no error code. This includes the steam discussion page, reddit, bungie forums, and destiny discord channels. I've spend about ~4hrs isolating the problem, going through most commonly viewed threads, and measured about 27 crashes before my PC is no longer stable. Eventually, I don't even start any programs/applications, and the PC would just die around the 2-5 mark(even under safe mode). One common denominator that exist among all of the crashes include their power system LEDs still on but the game, including the system, crashes; no error code. The system then goes into reboot and tries to restart. Ever since the new season started, there's been only a few solutions for a pocket few players out there while the good portion of people who's experiencing are still experiencing this. Them being left out is marring the reputation of the game they all well know. I've talked to a few r/buildapc experts and they somewhat narrowed it down to the CPU somewhat being affected (I forgot the specific terms they used). Most likely culprit they're assuming is the integration of BattleEye and the updates that came along the new season. I've changed my CPU and this solved it as pointed out by the experts; no more crashes. Unfortunately, changing CPUs is not reachable for that good portion of the players that don't have a spare CPU replacement. I hope Bungie addresses the severity of their crashes affecting the experiences of players, but also including, the hardware of those players.

  • I have been getting blue screens since the stasis nerf in previous season, my game sounds disappears and slowly all sounds start to go away and my pc crashes. Not sure if it's a battle eye thing or just some big memory management thing. I get the errors: KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION and CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED.

  • I'm a windows 10 user using an intel processor. I've not been able to play for 2 weeks (crashes every 5-10 minutes). I've just gone in to my BIOS settings and disabled "Intel Virtualization Technology" and I was able to play my first strike in a long time. Appreciate you bringing up the CPU issue as this is what got me looking in to the BIOS

      • I appreciate the effort to isolate the problem. I just cannot accept a blanket CPU problem. However, Bungie has to address this and do it as soon as possible. I have had other apps running in the background when one of those games crashes occurred, and can still hear music being played; just no graphics. Thanks for the post as it helps get attention for this nonsense.

          • Your last sentence sums it up... "hardware" I stopped trying to play because i need a preserve my hardware. The game crashes my pc and reboots it. No BSoD, no error codes, no nothing.. Destiny 2 is not worth losing hardware i spent precious money on. Bungie NEED to fix this. fighting cheaters in PvP is not worth this rubbish. Battle eye needs to take a sit on the bench until it can play properly. A lot of hardware is at stake here.
