I probably need to re-read that a few times so i could separate your points from your overwhelming negative opinion on the Eliksni. But for now I will say that the Traveler has put its faith in Eido and enough to communicate as if Mithrax was the one speaking. So I will trust that. I swear all politics does is create fear.

  •
your overwhelming negative opinion on the Eliksni.
I hold no opinion on the eliksni. Only whether the being is at the moment trying to kill the Last city.
I swear all politics does is create fear.
Public service is not wrong and the only real difference between two individuals being brothers or sisters is the expressway one chooses to believe things should be done. The fear aspect is merely the test to see the truth and alert yourself to the idea of being betrayed.

To be honest it baffles me that you had no opinion on the Eliksni/Mithrax. Do you just not read the lore surrounding them? or even want co-exsistence between species?
The fear aspect is merely the test to see the truth and alert yourself to the idea of being betrayed.
Well I would take it we (As humankind) lost that test when a bunch of human citizens went and terrorized the Eliksni camp. Edit: The Eliksni passed with an S tier grade. And Lakshimi still went out of her way to murder civilians.
To be honest it baffles me that you had no opinion on the Eliksni/Mithrax.
Mithrax was never suspicious to me besides a singular line at the beginning of the season which is he doesn't trust guardians. I believe, as he does, that a Fallen and humanity alliance will not foster without generations of involvement. Still, he was out of options really.
Do you just not read the lore surrounding them?
Read all of it. It's, again, nothing I didn't expect. I still don't think Mithrax wants a safe haven with humanity. I think his sights have been elsewhere, but we will see. The path to this road end is one of cooperation moving forward which is a farcry from the enemies trying to harm humanity.
or even want co-exsistence between species?
You can't wipe out decades of bad deeds. Once it became known that crimes against humanity (eating children) had been committed? It becomes impossible for reason to win. Only justice has such an understanding and Mithrax and his house are unable to confirm the most basic of information beyond a vow to never resort to violence against humanity. They risked running from the enemies for a chance to be near the traveler. I think this was the best example of legitimate refugees Bungie tried to put forward, but here's the catch about Lakshmi and her visions: None of them have been discredited yet. August 24th could see an assault on the last city and eliksni fleeing the streets. That's the issue here.
lost that test when a bunch of human citizens went and terrorized the Eliksni camp.
Rebels who revealed Crow will become Uldren again. Or rise to be a new speaker per hawkmoon mission. Only time will tell.
Edit: The Eliksni passed with an S tier grade.
The eliksni barely passed with a B actually. There are a few reports of taking humanity tools and whatnot from the wrong pile as well as other minor inconveniences. Refugees who know how to respect each other's boundaries are just as important as the pact itself.
And Lakshimi still went out of her way to murder civilians.
She acted in the interest of a vision that showed her being right or wrong. I personally thought it over the top, but one should never discredit the outsider who is working in humanity's best interest compared with those who can't be verified and therefore are building up trust. You create volatile conditions when you do this.

3 things I think: - Mithrax not trusting guardians is probable alluding to being watched over by Saint-XIV. (Man that was a great cut-scene) - Crow will become Hunter Vanguard instead of speaker because.. - The traveler was speaking to Eido in her dreams and the fact that Mithrax said Edio literally being to wise beyond her years. The Traveler never directly talked to crow. Just wanted to tell him he was free of his past. So I think this just comes down to, agree to disagree till the 24th. Thank you for your time.
- Mithrax not trusting guardians is probable alluding to being watched over by Saint-XIV.
This particular cutscene is the very first of this season. Not Saint.
- Crow will become Hunter Vanguard instead of speaker because..
The Hawkmoon mission revealed Crow to be a candidate for Speaker. He is the first of a revealed line for such a position. Again, only time will tell.
- The traveler was speaking to Eido in her dreams
Eido is not a guardian. Nor will she be allowed to speak for guardians as speaker. It is an interesting development, but it is not something you can credit. Crow has a stronger claim than she does.
The Traveler never directly talked to crow. Just wanted to tell him he was free of his past.
The Traveler showed him numerous points throughout our quest for Hawkmoon which he speaks to. Eido is not a guardian and therefore not a candidate until she becomes one (again, a possibility given the threats we are facing). Crow specifically states the Traveler's hand is guiding him at each point. It was done for many possible reasons all only known to the Traveler itself. Crow is basically being given a choice: Overcome your vices to see the better aspects of guardians like the Speaker before you or fall into them and be destroyed like you were before. Savathun will endeavor, endlessly is my bet, to steer any guardian away from the light and present a situation wherein we doubt ourselves. Mark my words... Savathun is not going to say, "You. Guardian. Are worthy as you are. I would like to be your ally and serve the Traveler too." unless it is the last possible move for her to avoid final death. Destiny 2, this season, has revealed beings are now aligned only with their self-interests as they gain power. No one is willing to fall on the sword for someone else anymore. You may not like hearing this, but I cannot name one situation where guardians or otherwise are actively trying to stop hostilities. We literally stepped over the pail and threatened one of our own who was aligned to help people through their actions. It sucks to hear, but this sort of writing is dangerous. They are saying a collapse is occurring in each other right before our very eyes.

  • I see. Side note: I never once thought of Savathun as an ally in any token of the word. Even if she ''escapes'' the worm as so many people like to suggest, she will not escape my blade.
