Thank god.
Having to use a mod to reach the same level of turning speed as another platform was bullshit.
And anybody that was against it...now you can just adjust your speed to whatever feels comfortable to you.
So if you don't like how traction felt, ya don't have to worry!
You know who you are that fought against this change, I'm coming for you.
lol I'm kidding...OR AM I
Idk if I missed something but I saw nothing about increasing vertical sensitivity which is an issue for controller players. Otherwise it's going to be nice to actually use a mod other than traction and 1 scavenger perk.

Only took 6 years

Bungie must really want to sell the next expansion. Out of the blue, this company can act on requests like they have been doing this "the entire time" 😂
-
And then what? Like sunsetting, Bungie caved. In this case to pander to pvp players that they had nothing else to offer. The result is they have given an arbitrary advantage to one small group of players and one narrow play style. Bad game design. Power at no cost.
-
Controller on pc gets more and more broken…. Gotta keep the Jims happy
-
Hell yes, the traction mod/sensitivity change and the melee charge changes are freaking awesome 😃😃😃
-
Now only if we could adjust the community and it's sensitivity .....
I'll see myself out
Edited by ForeverLaxx: 8/14/2021 4:26:03 AMI'm actually surprised Bungie seems to have managed avoiding "Bungie-ing" the change. Turn sensitivity, ADS sensitivity as a scalable function of the previous... and it's all 100% optional if you're used to moving like you're in molasses. I fully expected one or more of these aspects to have been done in a "doesn't actually understand the problem" like many other adjustments over the years. I'll reserve final judgment for when it's active in-game, but on paper, it looks good.

Edited by Shade: 8/13/2021 9:52:04 PMJust bought a new mouse but after the changes I might go back to the sticks. Been like 2+ years tho.
-
I'm glad they finally did this for our console brothers.
-
The good thing is its opt in and has 0 effect on me.
-
Looooooong overdue
-
I changed my sensitivity to 10 to prepare and practice for the upcoming change. It’s not bad once you develop the muscle memory for the new speed adjustments.
-
Much superbness on this 🥰
-
Its all going to go wrong though isn't it
-
Edited by GalaxySpider: 8/13/2021 3:12:03 AMIt would be awesome if they changed the throwing distance for grenades as well. It absolutely makes me sick having to use a mod for that. Especially in (GM) Nightfalls with Anti-Champion mods taking up space for the "Fastball" mod. The Fastball mod should be generalized to our player character.
-
This has been the biggest change to come to d2 in a hot minute.
-
It shouldn’t be possible for the melee aim assist to pull characters in directions they aren’t even looking, to do damage. Hunter dodge doesn’t even meet the actual definition of what dodging is. Mid hunter dodge people meleeing and turning 90-180 degrees based off the aim assist pull. This is bullshit
-
The only “fight” I provided was for the option, rather than the blatant implementation.
-
I think the players don’t like the feel of traction only had objection to it becoming intrinsic and therefore being forced upon them, which was fair. Everyone wins now. Despite loving this change though, I’m even happier that we’re getting ADS sensitivity scaling.
-
I didn’t fight for or against anything, but I do think that this change will open the floodgates for XIM or Cronus mouse and keyboard users. Literally the only thing keeping these things at bay was the sensitivity cap. I know, people were already using them, but it’s about to be so much worse.
-
Still confused as to why players who play on low sens have an issue with not being able to turn fast. It is because of your low sens. You can easily bump it up and learn but everybody wants to have easy gun fights where you barely move your sticks and also be able to 180 someone. Makes no “sens”. Bump it up and learn.
-
Super happy about it cause I’ve seen post on this forum asking about this change ALOT. So it makes me real happy that bungie is listening to things the community asks for. Maybe we won’t get everything we ask for but this… this right here is nice.
-
Amazing people are angry with additional “options “. Doesn’t change how they play. But are salty others will have a better time.
-
now mouse and key has an even bigger advantage.
