All players have to have all content downloaded in order to play, regardless of what they own. That means if you have Destiny installed, you already have Beyond Light installed, and there is no extra content to download.
By buying Beyond Light, you bought a license to access that specific content, but the content is already installed.

I thought so. When I launch the game and try to do beyond light it just prompts me to buy it again. It’s like the code didn’t take? Sony confirmed the redemption too. I just thought I might have been missing some little detail. Thanks for the reply.

The icon next to Europa is an ad for the Deluxe Edition. To start Beyond Light, go to Europa and talk to Variks.

Well it is confirmed. I am the biggest idiot on the planet. Thank you PyroAMJ. I hate to admit it but I didn’t see the new marker over his head so I never talked to Variks. Problem solved. Damn it.
