I hope while bungie is buffing primary weapons in pve, that they do it for the others as well.
Scouts obviously need it the most because they are ass, but auto rifles and pulse rifles could use some better damage too.
Like if I were to just toss out some numbers, here's what I would do.
Pulses: 12-15%
Handcannons: 7-10%
Autos: 14-17%
Scouts: 20-23%
Auto rifles should have low burst damage but high sustain damage.
Pulses should have a middle ground where they are good at both burst and sustain, but don't necessarily excel at either.
Handcannons should have high burst damage, but lower total sustain.
Scouts should having a middle ground for sustain and burst.
If I were to just toss out some numbers it could take to kill a set of 3 different enemies it would be as follows using adaptive frames at same light level.
Acolyte
HC: 1 shot
PR: 1 burst (3 rounds)
SR: 2 shots
AR: 4 shots.
Orange bar acolyte
HC: 2 shots
PR: 2 bursts (6 rounds)
SR: 4 shots
AR: 7 shots
Yellow bar acolyte (let's just say it exists)
HC: 4 shots
PR: 3 bursts (9 rounds)
SR: 6 shots
AR: 10 shots
Bungie has the actual health pool for enemies so they can work it out way easier.
It feels like they sort of already tried this...but scouts are jack of all ass.
