How to quick 'fix' Stasis in the Crucible.

With the current uproar from Stasis abilities destroying even more PvP experiences, I have theory-crafted a couple 'simple' suggestions that might control the level of imbalance. These suggestions will aim to focus more on gunplay while also providing options to counter stasis. Starting Ability Energy Why do we need to spawn in with abilities? I suggest that every ability (or perhaps just Stasis subclasses) needs to be 'gained' through cool down time at the start of every match. No melee, grenade or class energy to start off any match. Overall Ability Cool Down Times The issue with Stasis abilities is probably moreso how often they come into play as opposed to strength. I suggest increasing the cool down time of all base abilities (Supers, Grenade, Melee) by two tiers worth of time, where a previous Tier 8 CD timer would be equal to the proposed Tier 10 CD. Light subclasses can remain untouched in this or just take an increase of 1 Tiers' worth of cool down time more. Longer timers in between use allows for current power of abilities and encourages more gun combat. Re-tuning Slow Abilities Slow in Crucible was supposed to be inferior to being frozen, but many times it seems stronger. While frozen you gain armor against primary weapons, while being unable to shoot, meanwhile slowed you become practically unable to move or shoot accurately. To 'balance' the slow mechanic there are two suggestions I propose. First option is the removal of RNG accuracy and inversely removing any accuracy bloom while slowed. Second option is a buff to grenade and melee cool down timers while effected by slowed, to allow counterplay while being slowed. These changes allow for strong slow abilities while granting targets options to still play through. Bonus: Competitive and Trials Re-Tuning With third-person peeking still allowed in these modes for another season, I think a few additional changes can help improve these PvP experiences. First off is the carrying over of special ammo into each following round, this is unnecessary and only promotes one-shot special weapon play. A reset of all ammo in between rounds would further balance a competitive field. Secondly, spawning in heavy ammo at the last 7 seconds of each round may help reduce the slow pace of games in these game modes where teams would rather sit back to gain super energy than to engage in battle. These are just two of a few suggestions, but these are all Off-Topic. Just a few thoughts from an avid Crucible player that cannot enter the game today because of the new (friends list?) bug/crash! The already announced PvP changes for the future should definitely help the state of our Crucible, but the problems of today can't always wait for tomorrow. I hope for fresh Crucible landscapes where fun can be had once again. But the pace in which we get there cannot be stuck in Stasis. - SpadeSupreme
