You need to use mods on helmet, chest, and legs for the special and heavy weapons you’re running.

I and other people do. The issue is Bungles Ammo Drops are sporadically bountiful because their RNG generator is bad. So at the start if I get 4 bricks, I leave 2 on the ground and don't see another brick for the rest of GM NF.
