Every comp game is sweaty so every SBMM game is sweaty. Every quick play (CBMM) game is sweaty. Seems like CBMM is not the issue

Amen brother... obviously this one wasn't around for the 6 months of hell that was sbmm... the absolute cancer that was crucible... connection base is and always will be superior to skill based... and I agree if you want to match you skill with other skills then stfu and go play comp... I'd rather play an enjoyable game that DOES NOT have 3 asians and 3 Russians with hilariously shit connections coming in and Rick rolling everyone because of their janky ass connection and you cant even land a single shot on their slingshotting asses... yeaaaah... sbmm = comp yah want that headache go play comp but leave the relaxing, no world cup on the line, matches of quick play at cbmm...

Ah yes. Connection based is clearly superior, despite me seeing teleporting players in both forms of matchmaking. Sounds like CBMM isn't exactly doing its job. [spoiler]and it's not my fault. My router runs at 40mbps, more than enough for stable gameplay[/spoiler]

Rank and Skill are 2 totally different things... someone of high skill can simply no play comp until much later in the season, thus being lower rank but still matching you when you're around 5k. Because skill=/=rank

then it's not skill based genius. A player at 5500 is not the same skill as a player at 1000.

Not necessarily true. All that someone's rank says is how much they've played comp. Actual skill is an influence on how high up in the ranks you can get, but your rank says absolutely nothing about your skill.

Yes your rank does show your skill otherwise there would be no reason to have ranks in the game. That's kinda how that works. Unless your saying that anyone can log in to destiny go to comp and change the rank to whatever they want.

So, let's say, for the purpose of argument, that I hadn't played comp yet this season. As such, my comp rank is 0. However, in previous seasons, I made it to 2100 at least. Am I worse than a player at 1000 comp rank? The answer is I have no -blam!-ing idea because I don't know how much they've played comp this season. The rank would show your skill, if destiny had a system where rank actually cared about your skill, but there are no placement matches, and sbmm takes priority over rank based matchmaking in comp.

What you said absolutely does not prove it isn't skill based matchmaking. The only world where it proves that is if rank absolutely 100% of the time accurately reflects your skill. Which it doesn't. As I have said. You never adressed that point, in favor of dancing around it, basically just saying, "no you're wrong" And then you tell me I show up "anytime there's an sbmm topic to try and intimidate." Your trolling really couldn't be more obvious dude.

I’ve played some games of comp last season where I got put against a team whose combined k/d was as good as mine and I utterly destroyed them single handed. I also had games where I was on the other side going against people with 1-2 k/d higher than me and just got wrecked. No balance in skill levels overall in comp from what I’ve seen, irregardless of Rank.

No smart one simple fact is if this was skill based then you would only match players of equal skill. Comp is neither skill noir rank since your so called god clan mate can match anyone. If it was skill based would would only match players in your bracket. Being at let's say fabled means you've skilled past a player at brave. Which means you only play people at your current skill. Legend players matching not legend players is not skill based matching making.

If I wait until the end of the season and matchmake at 0 glory, it doesnt match me with those at 0, it puts me against 4500+ most of the time as thats where the algorithm deems me to be. Not saying there aren't mistakes and errors, but it is skill based. You're likely suffering with the fact that you're above one skill bracket but not quite good enough for the next one up.

This is the first season stat's haven't been reset so what you said about taking past info into affect is wrong. It might have a little skill based algorithm but it's not real skill based. Real skill based matches player in your bracket, by matching players in other brackets it not skill based.
