It was taken out of the game, because it took us three years of play to go from 0 to 1050, and that would be an obnoxious barrier to entry to new players....and would make more players quit (or not even start) compared to the small number who would see that mandatory grind as a good thing.

Thank you very much for the explanation ! I understand the game has completely changed since I played last time then. I really loved leveling system before, but I guess I'm one of those rare people that loved that way. It took you 3 year to level up to 1050 ? 1050 was just hard to reach the last max power level, you where stuck about 1000 to 1050 because the game ended at that point. So the game has become PVP than PVE. I was actually not really talking about an auto-reset for accounts, I was just more wondering if this option could be given to players that would like to do so. But I guess that the content from before is no longer available.

I feel like you dont know how Destiny's level system works. Yet you claim to be a veteran player. Right now when you download the game you start at 1050 and the cap is 1260 previously last year you started at 750 and the cap was 1060. Bungie updates every year because if you started at 0 power you would be grinding the cosmodrome for 3 years to get to 1050 and the new light enemies would one shot you as they are 1050 power. This is in no way a pvp change. It is completely pve focused because if you started at 0 you would never be able to raid with friends or even do strikes.

No. The content isn't there...and Bungie is trying to make the game accessible to new players. Not drive them away.
