I mean, no offense to you or fans of that show, but he does look kinda generic. Wouldn’t be hard to look like him, I think.

Yeah but his head has hella low polygons though, so you would need some sort of phineas style get up with your skull to look like him

Honestly it’s less of an insult and more of a good observation, I’m pretty sure the shows creator designed Shinji Imari to look like an normal, average Joe. It just solidifies Shinji’s tragic story. He’s just a kid who never asked to be put in the Eva suit, he just wanted a normal life.

Well, from what i've seen of anime (which is very little, admittedly), Shinji kinda stands out because he looks like a normal human being. Most anime that i've seen characters have bright, neon spiky hair going in every direction at once with matching eyes and bulging muscles that look like their ripping out of the characters' skin or giant Loot's-favorite-body-parts.

Deprmends on the anime. No. 6, and Stein’s;Gate had normal looking folk. In any case, I never said looking normal was a bad thing, just that he does look pretty generic.
-
Ah, ok. I'm probably just stereotyping anime with the ultra flashy, super muscular kind.
-
A lot of folk do like the big flashy combat ones. Probably because they’re simpler to understand.
No. 6 is really good, though. Highly recommend it.
Bully.
Jk but people remember him because of his character and the show’s complexity.
