Death grip would be really annoying in crucible, due to it giving you free wallhacks.
Also, if the boost when something dies is too good, then people will just abuse blowing themselves up to gain the benefit again and again.
Also: is this kinetic or energy?

Well the revive only adds one stack to the buff, and the perk only gains other stacks from nearby deaths so you can’t just use the long range tracking for kills.
