I can't bring myself to watch Fairy Tail again. Wasn't too bad in the beginning but as the anime went on it just became repetitive and relied too much on fan service. Couldn't stand watching the sub anymore either as the Japanese voice actresses started giving me headaches. Only ever watched up to maybe the 1st-2nd arc of S2 though so maybe it got better since, but dunno if it's worth going back to at this point.

You have only seen as far as S2? It gets much worse. I can’t believe I managed to watch all the episodes. I was so excited for the final season when it was announced, but then as the months went on and I watched good anime I got better taste. When the final season got its first episode and I dropped it in 10mins. I was like “why did I even like this show?” The theme is still amazing and the fight scenes from what I remember were good though. The plot and “plot” were stupid though.

I ended my watch of the show after the dragons terrorized the magic games. Might've watched a bit further than that but, if I did, it wasn't important enough to remember. It's a shame because I really like the early part of the show. Reminds me of my sentiment towards Naruto but for different reasons.

It has been ages since I watched S1, but I remember it being pretty decent. But man, there was an [u]entire[/u] arc that was filler and everyone forgot about all that happened at the end and it just made it even stupider.

Was it about the Zodiacs going rogue or something? I still remember that and it really felt filler and boring.

Pretty sure it was. I actually fell asleep during a lot of the episodes so I don’t remember everything about that arc, just that it was really bad.

I’ve only watched the first season since I don’t like sub because I tend to not focus 100% on shows

Edited by Emurinus: 4/5/2020 11:36:31 PMI generally don't have a problem with subs but FT's sub has too many high pitched voices. The dub wasn't too bad from what I remember which was nice. I can recommend a few shows to you if you want if you want to list the genres. If it has a good dub then I'll recommend that dub.

Good dubs I can recommend are Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, My Hero Academia, Death Note, and Danmachi (its full name is too long to bother writing out). There's also Konosuba (another long named anime) which I learned has a dub, though I haven't listened to it so I don't know how well it is.
