So I was brainstorming with some epic gamer friends of mine and we came up with an interesting idea for implementing exotic armor pieces. Instead of exotic weapon quests we’ve been having throughout Destiny for like 6/7 years now, give us exotic armor quests. These quests would present the perfect opportunity to keep characters who we hardly speak to or important characters more life in the Destiny universe other than the occasional lore card. These quests would take on the same form as say the super quests from D1 TTK. Do a thing -> Do another thing -> Go to a special area to complete the task there. These quests also present a perfect opportunity to create memories. Each fight would have its own mechanics to make it feel fun and unique. For example: Titans exotic: Saladin’s Pride (if Saladin is chosen) Titans would complete steps to the quest and then get called to the iron temple to defend it from fallen and at the end of that mission a unique boss (lets say a “sivafied” dusk archon or something along the lines) that you kill and complete the quest. Hunter exotics: Jaren’s Word Interesting quest that adds more details to a character from Shin Malphur’s past (quest could be received via letter from Shin). Hunters would complete some quest steps and eventually head to a unique area of the EDZ/Cosmodrome where they have to fight through a hive nest to get to a small alcove of trees where they could find Jaren Ward’s body (Alternate) Tevis’s Promise: Hunters get a notification from Banshee-44 that he found a note in some of Cayde’s stuff that Tevis (nightstalker from TTK had a stash on Mars somewhere). Hunters complete some quest steps and go to the black garden again to find a secret chest near where Tevis died. You have to fight a unique hydra. Warlocks: Toland’s Gift Toland would contact warlocks, who then would complete some quest steps. Toland would then summon Warlocks to the ascendant plane where he would send them to the place on the moon/Crota’s throne world where he heard the deathsingers song and passed into the cold between stars. You’d have to fight like a taken deathsinger or something. And these are just some examples, there are so many amazing characters in the Destiny universe and i’d hate for them to go to waste. From Wei-Ning to the Drifter to Shiro-4 to Osiris. I think this is something Bungie is sleeping on. But this is just an idea, some of you probably have better. But I just wanted to share my thoughts.
