What’s The Most Challenging Boss You’ve Ever Faced In A Video Game?

Yesterday, I finally managed to beat Darth Malak in KOTOR and finished the game. I gotta say, he was a lot harder than I had expected. It took me several long tries and I felt like I was about to break. It’s been a while since I’ve fought a boss that challenging. What about you?
Fades Away
• 1. The Allfather from Jotun, a boss i still have yet to beat. Dude summons the other 5 bosses in the game then shoots multiple tracking lances. Also, to fit all the other bosses, his map is massive, so it takes forever just to walk over and hit the dingus. 2. This one i have beaten, i was the Taken Cabal guy from the end of the Malfeasance strike quest. He wasn't very powerful by himself, but the encounter was a little devil. The map was only four tiny rocks, all of which constantly turned, so if you made a bad jump, instant death. Only two of the rocks had cover of any sort, and the boss would periodically spawn 3-4 turrets that floated on the edges. Also, he would spawn ads, and, later in the fight, he would even spawn 1 or 2 wizards. Also its density, so you know he has a ton of health. 3. Vicar Amelia is the furthest boss i've gotten to in Bloodbourne so far, and i've already lost 50,000 echoes to her. Hopefully i'll beat her soon because i don't want to lose anymore echoes.

The RUF Group C Turbo. Colloquially, The Yellowbird. Racing games, so not the traditional "final boss". But that thing.........

      • Nightmare, the first Devil May Cry on hard mode was pretty bad. Yet Mundus was a pushover. I wish the original Devil May Cry had a level select option like the 2nd and 3rd where you could play the story on any difficulty at any time. And the 2nd and 3rd games kept track of how far you progressed on each difficulty. You could go back to any mission and farm orbs to help progress on the harder missions. But in the first one you could only progress through one difficulty till you either die too many times until it gives you the option to play on easy automatic or until you beat the story. If you chose to progress further on harder difficulties you really had to get better. Resources were limited. I used up all of my inventory by the time I got to Dante Must Die mode. It gave me the option to go to normal or hard but it defeated the purpose of going back because I'd more than likely end up back in the same situation.

The hardest boss I have ever faced in any video was my boss. The douchenozzle always wanted me to come to work or I would get fired!

      • It's maybe a generic answer, but Four Kings from Dark Souls. I was stuck on that boss for a good few WEEKS before finally beating them. And every time I tried, the tension was incredible. My heart was pounding and I couldn't breathe a few times. It's one of the reasons New Londo is ingrained in my memory so well.

Dullahan, a recurring secret boss from the Golden Sun series. I found him especially tough in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. He can just completely obliterate any strategy you devise thanks to some of his moves and the way they interact with the game's mechanics. For example, he can effectively reset all of your characters to their starting classes for several turns (which includes stat growths and spell lists), disable all of your summons, inflict instant death on your entire team, and much, much more. Oh, and he also gets like 3-4 actions per turn. In addition to that, he has an assload of HP. Just soooooooo much HP. Fortunately, his actions always follow one of a few set patterns, selected randomly at the start of the fight. He can start at any point in said patterns (and the patterns are fairly long), but once you figure out which pattern he's using, it's possible to create a plan to circumvent his most broken moves. The reward is more than worth it, though. You're given access to the single most powerful summon in the game, which deals massive damage to all enemies and revives/fully heals all of your party members (and reserve team iirc). It trivializes almost any boss rebattle in the game, but Dullahan is most likely the last challenge you'll tackle in the postgame. However, even having the ultimate summon doesn't make any rematches against Dullahan much easier. He can still completely negate your ability to summon (or even use it against you iirc).
It's been several years (6 or 7) since I've played Dark Dawn, so I may have forgotten some details of the fight. Feel free to look it up.
