Deleted character
My kid just deleted my freshly power level 900 character to makek space for his new hunter. He already had his own Titan, but wanted to have hunter as well. So instead of deleting his Titan, he deleted my warlock. Is there any chance devs could reverse that? I am guessing not, but I figured I can ask around.
Also, why can we have only three characters, exactly?

Unfortunately, Bungie does not restore lost or deleted items or characters. Most people who allow their kids to play make sub accounts for their kids.

From the policy: [quote]Bungie does not provide the following services: -[b][u]Restoration of deleted characters[/u][/b] -Recovery of dismantled, scrapped, deleted, or otherwise discarded items -Recovery of mistakenly Infused items -Recovery of items lost due a Character's Postmaster being full -Recovery of items lost due to Player Inventories being full -Restoration of access to items or content gained through game sharing -Refunding in-game currencies on accidental purchases -Refunding Silver or transferring Silver between platform accounts, Destiny releases, or inactive accounts when Cross Save is enabled -Transferring items or characters between platform accounts or inactive accounts when Cross Save is enabled[/quote] As for why an account can only have three characters: there are only 3 character classes in the game (Hunter, Titan, and Warlock). Hence an account only needs 3 characters at most. Also 2 characters of the same class (for example, 2 Titans) cannot earn multiple pinnacle rewards in the same week.
