How many do we have to kill?

So it just crossed my mind, we killed Atheon a raid boss who was worshipped as a god by the vex. We also killed crota the son of Oryx who is considered the hive's god which makes crota a god(if he's a pure breed). Then now we kill Oryx the god of the taken and the hive. So my question is how many "gods" do we have to kill before the end of the game? We now the next dlc: Forge of Gods is about the return of the cabal but is there a cabal god or something along those lines we have to kill? Also the dlc is most likely about vex, so will there also be another vex god like atheno we have to kill? So how many do you think we have to kill guardians? Just this up while looking through the forums. Note: I didn't add skolas because he isn't considered a god but more on the lines as a evil tribe leader than a actually god. Edit: okay servitors are considered gods to the fallen only because the servitors communicate with the darkness but they still aren't raid bosses. Maybe they may get raid but that wouldn't be a for awhile. Also Atheon isn't considered a god but he went against his "god"(black heart) and so he was basically trapped in the VoG but he also had some followers that followed him(not talking about the Templar or the gorgons). Edit: guess this post hit 100 replies... I guess that's awesome, really glad to see people actually interested in the lore of the game and are willing to discuss this topic like civilized humans(not like the rest of the forum). Yeah so thanks and keep giving your point of view on this topic.

 • Well, to start with atheon, atheon isn't fully dead in terms of vex. He is just dead in this current timeline. In order for us to kill him fully, we would have to travel back to the black garden, and kill him in every single time strand in the black garden represented by every single flower planted within the garden, which is if I remember correctly, over 10,000,000. Not to mention certain timelines have different events occur, where in some if the more distant timelines from our, we might not even live on earth, and therefore, we may be no more powerful than an ant compared to the species the vex are combating in the timeline, and we could be killed by them killing the vex, and coming into our time strand. Now onto the hive. The hive are a polytheistic group, meaning they worship many gods and goddesses. Crota has siblings, and so does oryx. Oryx's siblings likely have children, and they're not even the most powerful. The worm gods, which are technically not hive but are still worshiped by them, allow the hive gods and death singers to exist in several different realms. They exist in one realm at a time, the most powerful being their throne realm, but after they die in one, they move onto the next. We killed crota in his throne realm, so consider him as good as dead because he is not anymore powerful than a knight with a boomer and a sword in our realm. Oryx, we killed in our realm with that first fight against him. I'm pretty sure the raid is based in his throne realm but am not positive. Anyway, until we kill a hive god in every single realm (we don't understand most of them, but toland seems quite advanced in it), or if we kill a hive god and keep the deathsingers from moving his essence into the next realm, or we kill the worm gods, then try live. The fallen are just plain aliens with a different style of government, but a Kell can e replaced, but for the most part the fallen really arnt the bad guys in this whole thing. They were really advanced, and they had the traveler first. For whatever reason the traveler came to us, and now that want it back, but we can't give it back because it's protecting us from the three other enemies, plus it's pretty cool all the powers we get as guardians, like living forever as long as our ghost has it's light. The cabal we don't know much about. It's an empire with an intriquite ranking system, and when one emperor dies, another likely just steps up to power. I don't believe they have gods, seeing as they don't really seem like moral creatures, but we won't really know until we have the technology to travel to their system. I hope I was able to help! Any other questions, or if I was unclear just ask.
