I accidentally infused my Solstice Chest....

So i was doing Last Wish the first time ever and was super excited to get it done, Everything was going super well we didn't die an we where clearing through the bosses quick things couldn't have looked better.
Mid raid my buddy told me to get Hollowfire heart so I got it from my collections and without thinking about I just infused a 750 chest piece into it. We continued the raid an I was unfazed about what I did, I didn't notice it..
Soooo... We get to riven an we clear through it super fast and without having to wipe, I was filled with JOY I DID IT! I DID LAST WISH YESSS IM GETTING 1000 VOICESS!!! (didn't end up getting it)
then...I open my character and went to put back on my beautiful SOLSTICE GEAR that I grinded 11hrs on stream to get and the chest was gone.. I quickly look at DIM to see if i moved it maybe but then It hit me like a train. I infused it....Its gone.. my heart stop and I told everyone in my raid group an all they could do is laugh as I sat there almost crying.
That wraps up my sad TED talk, Bungie if you could plz roll back my account or gift me the Chest again id love you...

1 ReplyI can understand your frustration but in about a month you can acquire a new full set of Solstice 2.0. I get it, you want to wear it now... I do I saw a video where someone accidentally deleted all of their enhancement cores because they wanted to see what you get for dismantling 1. Well the whole stack disappeared. I did a similar experiment with my mod components in Y1, had 256 of them, dismantled 1 to see what would happen and the whole stack went t away. This is pretty dumb considering that you can only dismantle 1 shader at a time. Your mistake is temporary, the other 2 mistakes that I mentioned have no comeback

You will get the 2.0 version in october so stop complaining, and bungie does not possess the power to roll back anyones account

- Lock your gear next time. - Shouldn’t be a big deal anyway, you’ll get the whole set as a 2.0 version on Oct 1st. - Congrats on your raid clear

Sad face for now, but on the bright side, you get a 2.0 version come October. I'll pay you on the back and give you a Titan hug. No guarantee I won't break your spine and ribs. Always lock your gear and never, ever infuse unnecessarily.

3 RepliesImportant gear like Solstice gear that people grinded their asses off for, should come locked as default, and it shouldn't be so easy to toggle the lock off (maybe make it so you have to hold down a button or click on a dialog button confirming turning off the lock). Not accounting for user error (or user's children/parents fiddling with one's controller) is bad UI/UX design.

O O F Press F to pay respects (I did the same thing, and I regretted it. I was doing the Scourge Of The Past raid. When I got the shotgun, I went nuts. And then I infused it with my ikelios shotgun, I didn't even realize it until I closed my menu. I did get it back though.)

Lock your gear, and pay attention to what you're doing. Problem solved.

I think you can get it back from your collections, and if not you’ll get a new set when shadowkeep launches.

That's why there is a lock feature on all armor and weapons. At the very least, you'll get a new one when the expac drops, so not all is lost.

I just discovered last night that I somehow deleted one of my notorious helmets. Just as I started to work through those complete armor set triumphs, too 🤦♂️
