I have had this happen at least 3 times this week alone.
Scenario:
I received a powerful reward that drops as expected, at a slightly higher light level. For instance; a pair of boots will drop at 739, which seems appropriate for my current light and the level of each piece of gear already achieved....
Then, my very next "powerful reward" that duplicates a drop for the same slot (more boots) drop as my reward, but, for some reason, this "powerful drop" is 2 or more light levels below the previous set of boots and are a 737 or lower, making the powerful reward useless.
Why?
This has happened with weapons as well as armor.
Anyone else seeing this issue with weekly drops that are "duplicates"?

Edited by Kanashimi510: 7/12/2019 6:04:52 AMIt just happened again. Twice in a row. -Second powerful weekly forge ignition dropped boots below the last pair I received. -Final (3rd) strike run dropped a body piece below my current body piece. A "powerful drop" should never drop lower than you current or last drop in the same slot. It's a pretty shitty "payoff" for running the weekly requirements to get shafted with weak gear. Menagerie just did the same thing and dropped my "powerful chest reward" helmet a level below my current helmet. 😡

I think primes and challenges can give up to +5. Most milestones now are only giving +1. Even dreaming city stuff is dropping low now with opulence out. Not sure about forges. Haven't done one since before SoD. Spider bounty and nightfall still gives decent rewards too. I usually get a plus 4 or so from them. Clan rewards are +1. Hawthorne is a cheapskate. 😂

Different activities reward different ranges of powerful drops. Daily challenges won't drop as high as weekly challenges. Prime Engrams won't drop as high as endgame activities. Etc etc.
