The way to rank up on Live is complete challenges, commendation, or just play matchmaking. If you're playing customs you get very few credits.

I beat the game on legendary alone on 9/24/10. It took me 21 hours,i had 2174 kills and 420 vehicles destroyed in the end. I also had to go back to the 3rd mission and re do it, because it did not unlock for after i had beat it the first time. I am so glad it is over! My Gamertag is Vibe420.

I have a question. I was a Captain about to be a captain grade 2, when i got hooked up to the internet and it said: go online and forfeit credits. I said yes and it demoted me to seargent grade 2. But every time i try to rank up, i only get 50 credits or 45 credits! no matter how hard i try. Can someone help me fix this problem

Luckily, I'm one of the 5% of users who gotten "Monument to all of your sins" and happy to share the experience. If I were to sum it all down to two sentences, it would be "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT THE HECK!?!?! HOW DID HE KILL ME THIS TIME?!?!" Yeah, it wasn't a pleasant experience. The hardest part was at the end ((SPOILERS)) where you have to fight waves of enemies just before you get picked up by captain keyes. It was so brutal. It's so easy to run out of ammo so darn fast. But after that, I only had to go through so many zealots with over shields which was a challenge also. But after that, I felt very accomplished. And I only need one more achievement which is "Make it rain." It was very hard though. Tougher than halo 3 because the AI mechanics for the enemies are smart as hell. While the AI for noble six/marines, is smarter than your average brick. My total playtime after it was about 15 hours.

I think ALL the assassinations are über sweet, but I am very nit-picky when knife is used,seeing it is another knife and not the holstered one. Perhaps something only a perfectionist would resolve. I'm sure there are plenty who work for Bungie.

Thanks.[/quote] There's an assassination where you spin the person around and stab them in the forehead. There's also one where you stab them in the gut (or, possibly, somewhere below the waist...).
