I may have found a solution!!! TLDR; I added a Profile for Destiny 2 in my Radeon Gaming Settings (and made sure it had the Shader Cache enabled). I began browsing the forum #loadtimes tag, and that led me to this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/8cty1t/regarding_the_shader_cache_postadrenaline_17121/ Which led me to look into the Radeon Shader Cache: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh-012#faq-Shader-Cache- In my Radeon Settings the one game the Scan didn't pick up was Destiny 2 so I presume it wasn't benefiting from the Shader Cache at all (or some other benefit of the Profile maybe, I'm just assuming the Shader Cache was the ticket). I have no idea what my Radeon Gaming Profiles were on my previous PC build, but on this PC they are definitely missing for D2. So I did 2 things: (1) Based on my reading the Shader Cache may be "defective" if the cache file sizes are showing up as 64 KB. You can look at the cache files in Windows under c:\Users\username\AppData\Local\AMD\DxCache, where I saw the majority of my caches were 64 Kb (not all though so maybe this didn't apply to me. On the off chance this was enough of a sign that the defect was happening I went into the Radeon Gaming Global Settings and I turned off and on the Shader Cache. Full disclaimer: I actually have no idea if this helped, because other people reported doing this and others reported also deleting their cache files too. Regardless I mention it because it was something I did. Might have been inconsequential. (2) Under the Radeon Game Settings I used Add+ to create a new Profile, browsed to the destiny2.exe and added it. I confirmed that Shader Cache in that Profile was turned on, and I left it set to "AMD Optimized". I did nothing else besides that. Then the big moment, I launched Destiny 2, and the Character Select went extra smoothly, the first In Orbit animation happened without pauses, and then I was the first to load into a Strike playlist, and my travel to PVE instances like Mars and IO have been very short! I think this did the trick!! And I also found this reddit thread which may be useful for people troubleshooting their D2 performance issues: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTechSupport/comments/8xahza/destiny_2_troubleshooting_guides_framerate/

 • Hey Since this threath is some older its maybe no problem anymore but for me in the current Crimson Version there is no option for Shade Cache except to emtpy it. I just dont know if its a bug or if its wanted cause its always on by default :D
