14 years ago today I created an account here to get a bungie.net logo behind my gamertag on Halo 2. For the most part since, it's been a blast being a part of this community. I've made a lot of friends, and promptly forgot nearly all (sorry). I've met up with the community at PAX and finally got to meet some fellow Marty Army members in person. I was able to join in on the halo movie clan bandwagon while it was thousands strong. Hell, I got to even blame stosh before it was appropriate. Not sure if that's really a good thing, honestly.
14 years ago, I was 13. I was a stupid kid who thought he was clever, and while I'm still pretty stupid today, it is mortifying to look at my early post history. It's safe to say bungie.net was my introduction to the online community. My world has been less lonely as a result though, and I'll always be appreciative of that. While some of the charm of the site has been lost for me and I haven't been too active recently, through it all I still believe I'll always be hopping back to the site, and that I'll have more reasons to do so in the long term.
Anyway, it's 5am here and I'm not awake enough to better put my thoughts in order. The last time I think I made a post like this it may have been 7 years ago. So thanks to whoever read this, and..see you in 7 more years?

It’s cool to see how many other ancient ones you bring back with one post, I’ve only been around for 3 going on 4 years as of now. I wish I was around for b.net in its hay day, I can even notice the difference of attitude within the few years I’ve been here. I’d give a lot to have the life from even just a little while ago return, however everything good must come to an end. It’s sad, honestly.
